✨ WIP Sneak Peek — Feathers and Paws

A gentle, heart‑led story illustrated through a soft, hand‑painted process. Each page begins as a digital sketch, projected onto A3 watercolour paper, then painted by hand before being professionally scanned for the final book layout. A quiet tale about love, loss, and learning to understand the ways pets show they care.

Origin: Inspired by a tender moment between our belated cat and my son, this story explores how animals express love, sometimes in ways that confuse us, sometimes in ways that teach us something new.

Style: Written in soft 2×2 rhyming couplets and paired with warm, hand‑painted illustrations, Feathers and Paws guides young readers through big emotions, from confusion, to sadness, to clarity and comfort.
